WHAT IF I HAVE NO SAILING EXPERIENCE?
Everybody is welcome on board of Spirit of Amsterdam, no matter if you have sailing experience or not. You can always choose in the moment if you want to learn and experience sailing or just enjoy the breeze on a sunny deck
WHAT KIND OF BOAT YOU SAIL?
We sail 38 feet sailing yacht Spirit of Amsterdam. It's a super steady Jeanneau Gin Fizz, wide, comfortable and adventurous ocean cruiser. It has a big cockpit with soft pillows and enough space on the deck to chill. In case of bad weather we have a comfortable salon with heating, unlimited warm drinks and a wine cabinet
WHERE DO WE START/FINISH?
We start from Amsterdam Marina, the most beautiful harbor of the city. It's situated in NDSM area, north of Amsterdam
WILL I GET SEA SICK?
Usually nobody gets sea sick on board, especially if we sail on IJmeer lake. Just in case we always have seasickness pills on board
IS FOOD INCLUDED? WHAT ABOUT DRINKS?
Food and drinks (coffee, tea, cold beverages and wine) are included in every sailing adventure. Let us know upfront if you have food restrictions/allergies and we'll take care of your menu
WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?
Captain Florian speaks perfect Dutch and English, Marie the host speaks fluent English and Russian
WHAT SHALL I WEAR/BRING?
We recommend to wear layers of clothes, so you are perfectly fine if it's sunny, chilly, windy or wet. Raincoat or windproof jacket is a good idea, so are shoes with light color soles (dark soles leave black stripes on deck). Take with you sunscreen and sunglasses, a hat or bandana, plus personal bottle of water
